Back to school!

We’re back to school again and for many parents, this means back to the pressure of school mornings.

We understand how exhausting it is when the first thing you think about when waking, is how your son or daughter is going to respond to the idea of school this morning.

The start of the term may already have been difficult for you.

Parents have shared that one of the most challenging aspects is the guilt they experience when they see their son or daughter struggling with the idea of a school day ahead of them.

Questions arise such as ‘has something happened with their friendship group over summer?

‘Are they not clicking with their new Teacher or TA?’

Perhaps you are questioning whether the school understands your son or daughter.

Your child may have a diagnosis or be on the pathway to a diagnosis of ADHD, Autism or other social and communication difficulties. When a parent sees their child in distress about going to school, it is common for them to question if making them go to school is the right thing. They may also question if they should be home schooling their son or daughter.

We absolutely understand that difficulties around attending school can place enormous stress on a family. Navigating this can be a minefield.

Over 80% of parents that attend our course and one to one sessions have a child with neurodiversity. We are absolutely confident we can support you to navigate your way through this, gain clarity with your situation and also support you to liaise with your child’s school.
